The paper recyclable products listed below shall be collected in brown paper grocery type bags or tied in small bundles no to exceed 24'' X 24'' in dimension or 50lbs in weight.

The co-mingled recyclable materials listed below shall be collected in a 30 gallon blue recycling bag or container so manufactured and designated for the purpose of recycling.

Only narrow necked containers are accepted. Plastic containers with openings that are larger than their bottoms (margarine tubs) should be reused or disposed of with household trash.
Please place blue thirty gallon recycling bags and garbage bags at curbside by 6am for pick-up.

Dispose of needles. Used needles are a hazard! They should not be placed in your trash or recyclables. Return them to Mercy Medical Center - Oshkosh, Theda Clark Medical Center - Neenah, or ask your local pharmacist for disposal options.
City of Omro Landfills
You must be a resident of the City of Omro to use the Hwy 116 or Webster Ave. Landfill!
Hwy 116 (location across from cemetery) This landfill is open on Saturdays form 8am until 12pm, April thru November. Residents wishing to use the landfill at any other time will need to sign out a gate key at City Hall during normal business hours. The following items are allowed: Concrete, Bricks, Clean Wood (no varnish/paint/nails), Rocks, Gravel, Sand, Brush, Leaves, Grass or Dirt. There are separate areas for each item. DO NOT DUMP INTO THE PIT!!!
Webster Ave. This landfill is not open on a regular basis. Residents wishing to collect free mulch or compost will need to sign out a gate key at Omro City Hall during normal business hours. For further landfill information contact Omro City Hall (920) 685-7000.
Hazardous Waste Disposal - The Winnebago County Recycling Facility accepts pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, sealants, solvents, cleaners, varnish, adhesives, paint thinner/stripper, polishes, pool chemicals and other household hazardous waste. Materials are accepted by appointment, selected day May thru October. For more information call (920) 232-1850

Where can I dispose of used motor oil? At no charge you may dispose 1 to 2 gallons per month by taking it directly to Veolia Environmental Services during regular business hours. You may also dispose of used oil at the Winnebago County Recycling Center.
Where can I dispose of used carpet? For a fee, you may dispose of used carpet by taking it directly to Veolia Environmental Services. For an additional fee, you may arrange for it to be picked up at the curb.
How do I dispose of old appliances? For a fee, you may drop off used appliances at Veolia Environmental Services. For an additional fee you may arrange curbside pickup. You may also dispose of used appliances at the Winnebago County Landfill for a fee.
Disposal of Used Tires & Batteries? You may take used auto and light truck tires to Veolia Environmental Services or the the Winnebago County Landfill for varying fees based on size and quantity. Batteries can be taken to Winnebago County Landfill for$0.75, or Veolia for free.
