CITY CARES INITIATIVES:
VACCINATION: The City of Omro has partnered with the Omro Pharmacy to open a mass vaccination clinic at the Old Dollar General building at 151 South Webster Avenue. (Note: As of June 1, the clinic is closed, but vaccinations can still be obtained at the Omro Pharmacy. Walk-in appointments are now available!) To get an appointment, it is simplest to email sales@omropharmacy.com. If you do not have email, you may call 920-685-5041. They will call you when vaccines are available for you and set up an appointment. Further information is located on our Vaccination Page.
As part of the City of Omro “City Cares Initiatives”, the City of Omro is excited to announce its City Cares Business Loan Program. With pre-authorized funds of $50,000, the City hopes to provide financial assistance to Omro business owners who have been adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Businesses with a physical location in the City of Omro can apply for a loan of up to $2,500 at 0% interest with no payments due for 24 months. Assistance is intended to be used for mortgage, rent, and utility payments. Priority will first be given to businesses who have closed due to COVID-19, followed by downtown businesses, commercial businesses, and industrial businesses. Full loan terms and guidelines can be found below. Application review will begin on Tuesday April, 28, 2020. With the creation of this program, the City of Omro hopes to convey to area businesses it recognizes how truly vital each one is to the strength of the City.
Applications (see files below) can be mailed to City Cares Business Loan Program, PO BOX 399, Omro, WI 54963; or dropped in the box outside City Hall
Questions can be directed to Stephanie Hawkins at 920-685-7005 x22.

In addition to the loan program, the City Cares Initiatives include the following assistance to our residents and businesses during this trying time:
The 2020 dog and cat license deadline is now extended to July 31. 2021 licenses are due on March 31, 2021 and available in the 2nd week of December 2020. You are welcome to mail in your information or put it in the drop box in front of city hall and we will be happy to mail back your rabies vaccination information and tag after processing.
Utility disconnections for water and sewer have been suspended by the PSC and the city council has determined late fees will not be charged until after April 15, 2021. Please contact us at 685-7000 if you have concerns about the ability to pay your bill and we will work with you to make payment arrangements.
Boat launching in the City of Omro is free for the year 2020. The pay to park at the launch program will resume in 2021.
Liquor licensing and coin-op machine fees due in June 2020 will be pro-rated (but kept at or above the minimum required by the state statutes). Notices for licensing will be sent in the mail soon.
If you have reserved a park shelter for this summer and are unable to use it due to the pandemic restrictions, please contact us and we will issue a refund.
Tax Payment Late Fees have been postponed until October 1, 2020. If you cannot pay your current taxes on July 31, you now have an additional 2 months to pay without incurring penalties or interest. This does not negate interest on taxes due for your first installment in January.
