The City of Omro lives up to its reputation as being a safe, proud and involved community. This is reflected in Omro's schools, neighborhoods, churches, organizations and other community services.
Located just 8 miles west of Oshkosh in the heart of Wisconsin's Fox River Valley, Omro offers the perfect combination of business, industry, residential amenities and recreational pleasures to win your heart.
The city works hard to maintain its excellent quality of life in order to make the community an even greater place in which to live, work, and conduct business.
2018 DOT Hwy 116 Reconstruction Update:
Preliminary, light utility relocation work will begin early fall this year 2017 and continue thru the end of the year. Alliant will be installing new natural gas main in the terrace area along the construction route. I expect telephone and cable providers will be completing the same type of work. In all cases work will be done in the road right of way with excavation work being done in the terrace areas. Be prepared for some short traffic delays and as always SLOW DOWN in construction zones. Full construction with detours is scheduled to begin April 2018. Any questions or concerns you may call my office at 920-685-7020.
Go to the Projects Tab for more information from the Department of Transportation.
Thank You all for your cooperation on these matters

Though Radon has not been much of a concern in the city limits, it is still a good idea to get a kit from city hall for $10 and test radon levels in your home. Click here Click here for a brochure from Winnebago County explaining what radon is and why this is important!
