Water & Sewer Emergencies

If you are experiencing a water or sewer emergency, including basement backups:

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM:
    Please contact City Hall at (920) 685-7000. Staff will dispatch personnel to your location.
  • After Hours & Weekends:
    Call (920) 685-7025 to obtain emergency contact numbers for on-call utility staff.

When Should I Notify the City?

  • Toilet line blockages outside the home
    Please contact the City before calling a plumber if you experience a toilet line blockage that may be located outside the home structure. City staff can help determine whether the problem is in the public sanitary sewer main or in the private property lateral.
  • Blocked or poorly draining storm sewers
    Notify the City if curbside storm sewers near your property appear blocked, backed up, or are not draining properly.
  • Possible water main or service lateral leaks
    Please report any area where water is bubbling up, pooling, or spraying from the ground where it should not be. These conditions may indicate a water main break or service lateral break. Such issues are often more common during seasonal freeze-thaw periods following winter.
